The name Terra Nostra means "Our Earth". |
The Hubs and I have been going here for years. And as long as they are serving up
some of the best flavors from Spain, Italy and France we shall keep going!
Efren and Gema Ormaza are the owners. While they have an incredible staff of cooks, you will still see Efren as Chef and Gema working her magic with the pastries.
This restaurant was featured in Southern Living's May 2004 issue (See: Terra Nostra- Our History). Terra Nostra also incorporates flavors from North and South America, Asia and the Caribbean in their repertoire.
I find them ingenious and creative!
The outside dining area is imaginative. You feel like you've walked into somewhere magical. |
There is metal artwork throughout the restaurant. |
One of the things I love about this place are the hearts of both the owners and their staff.
We get welcomed like family here!
They have such beautiful hearts for their guests and the food they serve. But they don't stop there...
If you clicked on the the Our History link I added above I'm sure you saw their work in Penipe, Ecuador.
This amazing group works to send medical missions to this small town in the Ecuadorian Andes.
I recommend that you Like their Facebook Page to learn about how you can help them raise the needed funds for another trip this year!!!!
Now...to their food...

Their wine list is excellent and dinner...well, in a word...YUM!
Our sweet Grace knows that we love Spanish reds. Tonight she chose this wonderful Rioja for us. |
This beautiful dish is a Lobster Torte! |
Bison Short Ribs were a special this evening. |
I love this place. The people, the food, and definitely the heart!
Want to mix your love of food with a wonderful cause???
Terra Nostra will do another fundraiser for the Penipe Medical Mission very soon!
We have been to a few and it has always been amazing.
They will put together a special meal and you get to hear from some of the physicians who have traveled with the team throughout the years.
The food is always AMAZING, and it is such an amazing blessing to hear about the work for this small town.
Life at Terra Nostra? In my opinion...
It's La Bonne Vie Y'all!!!
