A Week of Trick or Treating, Food, Drinks, & Spanish History at St. Augustine!!!!

Last week we adventured in Florida...and a little bit of Georgia (visiting a place that Mason really loved)!

We started our adventure in Orlando attending the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!
Actually...let me back up...first we started at Bongos in Downtown Disney!

45 ounce Margarita...yes- we shared!

Beautiful Cuban Cuisine! The Bongos Sampler- Marinated
Pork and onions, ham croquettes, tamale, fried potatoes,
plantain cups with marinated, pork and shrimp!
Delicious!!!!

Halloween Party! I was dressed as Snow White...so I had to visit the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

One of my favorite breakfasts- Mickey Waffle!!!!!

We visited the Contempo Cafe for breakfast. You can
add cherries (which I love) or bluberries...
or my personal favorite...bananas and caramel sauce topping!
Yum! Yum!

Off to St. Augustine!!! Our favorite place for the BEST
Fried Shrimp EVER!!!!!

You gotta show up early. It is always packed!

9 fried shrimp, hush puppies, their special pink sauce with Datil Pepper Sauce...and your choice of 2 sides. I picked cole slaw and half-sour cucumbers and tomatoes!

Hush puppies-so light and fluffy they feel like they could
just float away....

Perfect breading! I honestly don't know what it is.
These guys have a tight lid on this "secret recipe".

The Bridge of Lions is a working draw bridge. Maritime law still rules here. When a tall boat comes by...all of the cars must stop!

Namesake Lion at the entrance to the bridge!

View of downtown St. Augustine from the Bridge of Lions!
This is one of our most favorite cities!!!

So much more food, drinks and one of Mason's beloved places to come this week.
Tune in all this week to see our adventures in eating, drinking & cooking!

La Bonne Vie Y'all!
